What is Torshi?
Tired of ketchup or BBQ sauce? Try Torshi!
Torshi is a Persian word and it literally means “something that is tart and pickled” Torshi is a preservative-free, corn-syrup-free, gluten-free, condiment similar to salsa and to chutney but is neither one. It has a unique taste its own. Torshi is made with either fruits or vegetables and cooked for hours with vinegar and spices. The vinegar acts as the natural preservative and thus my products do not contain any chemicals you can’t pronounce or preservatives. In the old days, Torshi was made and poured into large ceramic glazed vessels called a Kolook, thus our name.
